Supply chain management system is a new issue in the management that consists of all activities associated with the flow and transformation of goods from the raw material stage to final delivery to the consumer and also the information flows connect to them (Laudon & Laudon, 2002). In order to proper management of the supply chain, providing of excellent service to customer, lower costs, production efficiency and productivity and shorter time of cycle is essential (Hooshang, et al, 1384). Therefore, it is necessary to study information processes of the supply chain management and determine their role in competitive advantage. The main processes in the supply chain management include customer relationship management, customer service management, demand management, order completion, manufacturing process management, management of relationship with suppliers, product development and commercialization and return managing.
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the role of IT in enhancing the supply chain management processes and developing capabilities and competitive advantages (including quality, efficiency and production costs) in a digital context. The study population includes Tehran textile and clothing. In terms of research methods, it is surveying - functional study. The descriptive, survey and qualitative methods are used to presentation and performing of research model. The final results of the research consist of offering an operational model to provide study aims in the supply chain area, and confirming the results of its application in the studied industries.
