The most common problem that every organizational managers encounter is how allocate the available limited resources in the best possible way. The available limited resources of each manager are: investment, raw materials, machinery and its necessary equipment, place, time and human resources.Diligence of business managers of manufacturing firms is toreasonablyincreasethe benefit and revenue from its company operation. Operations Research used as a suitable tool for systems management, decision-making process and offering proper strategies to planning.Due to lack of resources and the high value of it,the necessary of optimal allocation of resourcesis essential.
The goal of this study is use of operations research methods,transit models for optimizingpersonneltransport systems of a military organization,obtaining an optimal allocation model of vehicles due to abundance of travelers in different paths with minimum cost.
This research is an application study of quantitative type and has specific characteristics-oriented and its focus is towards transportation of the studied organization.
In this study based on organization used vehicles, tripdifferent paths, number of mileage and frequency of passengers in each direction, a model is designed to optimize the transportation system.Then data were analyzed usingthe operations research techniques and northwest corner method and Vogelestimates.
This study determinethe staffingtransportation cost of status quo by following three characteristic of transport costs consisting the staffing, NET and fuel costsand designan transportation optimal allocation model using a linear programming. Thenthis model was analyzed by the northwest corner and Vogel method.Finally, a plan offer to transportation which reducestransporting costs compared to the existing situation and hasabilityto implement in the organization.
