The positive functionality of the buying division will directly influence the decline in costs, and the rise in profitability and maintenance of a supply chain. In this paper a linear multi-purpose decision making model is presented in order to solve the supplier selection problem.
The presented method enables the decision maker to recognize and distinguish the effective factors and their relative importance in case of selecting the supplier with regard to the desired guidelines.
In order to implement such task, initially we will select the measures of selecting supplier with the employment of the Nested Design method in designing experiments. Then, utilizing the fuzzy hierarchical analysis process; the dominant ambiguity of various factors’ importance determination will be considered.
